Get Acquainted with Virginia

The following 'snapshots' of 5 areas we regularly serve will give you an idea of the type of information we can provide to you as part of our commitment to meet your real estate needs.

FAUQUIER COUNTY

Fauquier County ranks among the Top 10 largest counties in Virginia. Its 660 square miles comprise 3 towns and numerous villages. Fauquier County favors "Preserving agriculture in a business-friendly community" as a tag-line and as a guideline. Unlike its neighbors, Prince William County, Stafford County, and Loudoun County, Fauquier County has fought to keep its growth and expansion at a slower pace. From north to south, Fauquier County's rural roots remain. Throughout the county small villages and towns offer unique shopping experiences and small-town ambiance hard to find in neighboring Northern Virginia. It is still possible to find a bit of land to call your own in Fauquier.

BEALETON

Bealeton, a community of about 2,800 people, is located in the south central part of Fauquier County. The Bealeton Village Shopping Center, where you'll find Front Door Properties, is in the heart of Bealeton where Rt. 28 intersects with US 17 and US 29. Besides a Food Lion and a number of restaurants, the shopping center includes a western wear store, a florist, and an electronics store. You'll also find the Bealeton Library, a pharmacy, First Virginia Bank, McDonald's and 7-11 in or near the complex.

WARRENTON

Warrenton has a strong ecological and environmental conscience; it is a designated Tree City USA and a Chesapeake Bay Partner community. And one can't forget Warrenton's place in history either. Its historic residential district comprises homes built before the Civil War. One of the most famous town residents was Confederate Col. John Singleton Mosby, the "Gray Ghost" of the Confederate cavalry.

CULPEPER COUNTY

Culpeper County, which once included Culpeper, Rappahannock, and Madison counties, was formed by an act of the Virginia House of Burgesses in 1748. Its setting in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains makes it a beautiful place for the outdoors enthusiast. Its Civil War sites make it a rich environment for the student of history. Culpeper has something for everyone.

MANASSAS

High technology firms continue to anchor the business development of Manassas. Revitalization efforts of historic Old Town began in the 1980s and Manassas became a Virginia Main Street community in 1985. Museums, educational institutions, and battlefields form a rich tapestry of history and heritage as Manassas enters the 21st century.
